LEO Spacecraft Operations Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climaterelated satellite data, images and products for its users. The selected candidate will provide operations expertise and support to one or more of the Metop Spacecraft platform subsystems and or payload instruments. Heshe will also participate in coordinating the satellite operations activities with external teams responsible for onboard software management, simulator support, mission control, mission planning, flight dynamics and ground stations. The tasks will typically include Support to the routine operations of Metop A, B and preparing for MetopC Maintenance of operations documentation and flight procedures Trend and performance analysis on subsystems and instruments Investigations into satellite anomalies Participation in the satellite oncall support rota for periods of 247 coverage System and operations preparation of Metop SG, Sentinel3 and JasonCS Definition of system and satellite operational concepts Review space to ground interface specifications and flight operations manuals Definition of tools and processes to prepare for and operate the satellites. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in relevant discipline LEO Spacecraft operations preparation, monitor and control operations Low Earth Orbit spacecraft design or AIT activities Satellite Flight Operation Segment facilities based on EPOCH or SCOS Procedure development tool MOIS and STOL language ECSS PUS customisation and usage MATLAB, PERL, AWK, VBA for development of tools in MS Office applications Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of French is an asset. Prepare and maintain the configuration management plan Specific Competence Requirements Masters degree in software engineering or computer science with background on space engineering. 10 years of relevant professional work experience. Familiarity with space product assurance practices together with a good working knowledge of appropriate working tools. Practical experience in applying ECSS SW standards. Knowledge and proven experience in the following areas Configuration management of complex systems. Software engineering and PA in critical applications. Good interpersonal skills. Good written and oral English. Ability to participate and chair meetings with multinational environment. Ability to work in a matrix oriented organisation reporting to both Project PA responsible and the functional PA organisation without continuous supervision.

Tasks The Key person shall work in the Operations and Services to Users Department as a member of the Metop Spacecraft Operations Team.
