Spacecraft Operations Engineering Services for XMMIntegral 1412056 Job Description Spacecraft Operations Engineering service to be provided for astronomy and fundamental physics missions operated by ESOC. The service will be delivered to XMMNewton INTEGRAL primarily in the first instance, but with the possibility of supporting other missions within the Astronomy and Fundamental Physics Missions Division at a later stage of the service provision. The primary areas of responsibility for this service are to support the Spacecraft Operations Managers in the the development of operations procedures for onboard thermal control of platform and instruments, deorbiting, mission control system and simulator migration and automation activities. The Contractor is required to familiarise himself with the missions he is supporting and in particular with the procedures, ground segment and its tools that are needed to perform the mission operations. Required Skills and Experience University degree or equivalent in aerospace or relevant discipline. Knowledge of spacecraft subsystems and operations i.e. OBDH, PowerThermal, propulsion system, instruments Knowledge of SCOS and procedure generation tools is desired, where experience of XMM Integral specific tools FOP tool, fopgen, MOIS, Operational Simulator, MCS, Database, Mission planning.
