Vodafone Greece to launch hybrid 4G-VDSL broadband service

(Telecompaper) Vodafone Greece announced the start of tests of a fixed-mobile broadband service using its 4G network and VDSL bonding. Vodafone said the technology means it can offer customers more than twice the current speeds on VDSL, while also ensuring a constant, reliable connection. The new service is being piloted and will be available in the near future, Vodafone said, adding this will be the first company in the Vodafone group to launch the service. The operator announced a trial of the same technology in Spain last year.
