JOB PURPOSE ROLE Provides technicocommercial contribution in activities relating to developing new applications and solutions to customers requirements, and conduct thorough technical feasibility studies as well as contribute to assess commercial consequences in mainly liaising with Business development, sales and capacity management engineers. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Description Key Performance Indicators New Services Planning and Recommendations Conduct all system and customerservicelevel requirements analysis and calculations and identify capacity requirements. Advise customers on solutions that are easily implemented, cost effective and technically viable. Contribute to the assessment of commercial consequences of new services. Develop KA band applications in broadcasting and broadband data distribution. Study new service proposals requirements and recommend technical and commercial feasibility. Capacity requirements accurately calculated and new services identified. Quality of advices for customers and feedback on customer satisfaction Technical feasibilities timely conducted and sound recommendations provided. Link budgets and Technical assistance Develop transponder loading plans for new services. Develop presales Link budgets. Advise on the preparation of technical data for lease contracts related to new services. Develop the technical and programmatic proposals for the potential customers Develop partnerships with enduser terminalequipment manufacturers and integrators. Provide technical assistance to Marketing in order to enhance product promotion and provide key selling points from a technical perspective. Effective transponder loading that maximizes the Mbs used. Link budgets accurately and timely prepared. Accurate and successful technical and programmatic proposals. Reduce the time to provide endused solutions Quality of assistance provided to marketing and unique selling proposition prepared for QSC services. Market Research Conduct market research and technology evaluations in order to identify applied solutions and prepare recommendation to management Timely communication of latest market trends and communications as well as sound recommendations of opportunities to QSC KA Band applications Develop KA band applications in broadcasting and broadband data distribution. KA Band applications developed and communicated as per plans and schedules. Internal Liaison and collaboration Maintain close liaison with Business Development, technical teams and Sales to get details of new services and specific customer requirements. Customer requirements continuously mapped and acted upon. Customer satisfaction surveys showing positive results visavis services provided. Policies and Procedures Recommend improvements to product development policy and implement procedures and controls so that all relevant procedurallegislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, costeffective service in line with best practice. Compliance with requirements. Internal customer feedback. Continuous Improvement Provide inputs and suggestions for the continuous improvement of EshailSat products and services taking into account best practice, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans. Number and quality of improvements are in line with corporate expectations and implemented. Management Reports Consolidate accurate Management reports to provide timely feedback to the Sales Director on new product development initiatives. Clear reporting on project approach and project outcomes linked to the agreedupon project objectives. Adequate reporting and project performance management systems are in place to monitor progress. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS Minimum Qualifications BS Telecom Engineering or equivalent degree Indepth understanding of satellite communications. Knowledge of satellite designs and limitations Indepth understanding of satellite link analysis Working knowledge of satellite analysis tools Minimum Experience 5 to 7 years experience in satellite communications and system calculations. Knowledge of types of services and techniques relating to the job calculations, assignments etc. KA band experience is a plus JobSpecific Skills Knowledge of a wide range of services and requirements. Should be able to use ones initiative and adapt to customer requirements. Should strive for better efficiencies and simpler ways of doing things. Significant amount of liaison with the Marketing and Sales Department in terms of technical specifications and recommendations. Excellent problem solving skills Understanding of satellite link analysis principals Knowledge of satellite communications Excellent organizational skills tracking correspondence, etc. Energetic and selfstarter Task driven and goal oriented
