We are looking for a Microwave MmWave Technology and Equipment Engineer E3 to join our Modis Aerospace team, working onsite at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands. Modis Aerospace is a specialized Engineering consultancy with more than 30 years experience providing aerospace Engineers to our key partners in The Netherlands. Modis is a longstanding business partner of the European Space Agency ESA, with more than 115 employees recruited from across Europe currently supporting ESAs activities. Specific tasks to be performed Contribute to the design, development and performance evaluation of RF technologies applicable to space and ground segments, with particular emphasis on RF passive equipment, components and technologies Filters, IMUXOMUX, ferrite devices, etc. Provide expert technical support to projects and programmes Contribute to the generation of innovative ideas in the field of RF equipment and technologies and to the definition of ESA RD programmes Define technical requirements and statements of work for the tasks to be performed by industry from early conceptual studies to full hardware development Contribute to the developmentusage of section related laboratory facilities and analysissimulation tools Maintain stateoftheart expertise by monitoring the technological trends and applying them in the daytoday tasks. To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background experience is required University Masters degree in Microwave or RF Electronics Engineering Good background on RF equipment and technologies for space application Minimum of 4 years of working experience on Passive RF equipment, components and technologies. Extensive and proven experience in the domain of microwave components, equipmentandor technologies. About ESAESTEC The European Space Agency ESA has sites in several European countries. The European Space Research and Technology Centre ESTEC is the largest site and the technical heart of ESA. This nursery of European space activities is located in Noordwijk, Netherlands. At ESTEC, about 2500 engineers, technicians and scientists work handson with mission design, spacecraft and space technology. Almost all ESA projects except launchers are managed from ESTEC. In Noordwijk, people work on science missions, manned space missions, Earth observation, telecommunications and navigation satellites. Come and improve atmospheric profiling using passive microwave science. As our observations from our satellites become more sophisticated, we are looking for a scientist with experience of processing data from spacebourne passive microwave instruments to join our team. This is an opportunity to ensure that EUMETSAT evolves its stateofthe art exploitation of products from our microwave instruments on board our current and future satellites. Your role at EUMETSAT At EUMETSAT, we have experts monitoring, delivering and interpreting data from our satellites. This information is used to forecast weather, sea temperatures and air quality. Our use of technology is vital to everyday life. You will have the opportunity to use your knowledge of passive microwave remote sensing physics to drive our scientific development, validation and quality monitoring from the sounders and images of our satellites. You will have extensive experience of coding scientific application software and enjoy working with user and research communities. You will be comfortable keeping our scientific and technical documents up to date. You will bring excellent communication and team working skills.
