Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Followup the initial services implementation and validation activities, analysing the related classified key performance indicators KPIs Implement the liaison with the GSAGSMC departments Support the liaising with the stakeholders, which contribute to the security of the EGNSS services in particular EC, member States and ESA. Contribute to the update and amend of GSOp CLA operations requirement documents and other security documentation in preparation of the GSOp ITT BAFO Participate to the evaluation of GSOp ITT proposals as expert supporting GSA staff members of the TEC Contribute to the preparation of the GSOp competitive dialogue as expert supporting GSA staff members of the TEC Support the followup the current Galileo operations contract ESA WP6 and assess the impact of changes on the security and security operations on the GSOp baseline. We currently have an opening for a Payload Engineering Specialist to join the Consulting Services Division. The successful candidate will be an expert in the field of communication satellite payloads and will provide technical expertise in support of Telesat customer and internal communications satellite procurement programs. The incumbent will work closely with internal technical teams and with the customer during all phases of the program. Responsibilities will include Performing endtoend communications system analysis to define payload specifications and payload architectures to include digital components Providing technical expertise in areas of communications satellite payloads operating in UHF, L, C, X, Ku and Kabands Providing expert technical support to Telesat customer programs, interfacing directly with customer engineering and management staff Preparing and presenting detailed technical reports and presentations to both internal and external technical experts, including management Leading andor assisting in the analysis and development of payload specifications and test requirements during the Request for Proposal preparation, bid evaluation and contract negotiations Analyzing design review packages and participating in design review meetings Providing advice to engineering and program management relating to technical and schedule risks on programs Overseeing andor witnessing the evaluation process of unit and subsystem testing, satellite level assembly, integration and testing and Leading andor assisting in the resolution of technical problems related to the design andor testing of spacecraft communications payloads or payload units. The successful candidate will possess Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Masters preferred, specializing in microwaves or communications A minimum of 10 years of practical industry experience in advanced communications satellite payload engineering Experience in preparing payload budgets, analysis and specifications Experience with the design andor procurement of payload hardware Experience with test requirements for payload units and payload subsystems Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, presentation and customer interaction skills Exceptional problemsolving abilities and program execution strengths Expert Microsoft Excel skills Knowledge of MatLab software Ability to travel significantly up to 50 of the time for extended periods and Ability to work in Canada and to obtain Controlled Goods Program Clearance.
