DOE, Inc. (Deep Ocean Engineering) announced they have added two new vehicles to their product line, the dual hull H-1750 and the mono hull I-1650. Both vehicles are controlled wirelessly by a dedicated WiFi link and have ranges up to 2km. For user controlled navigation, HD video is transmitted back to the pilot box mounted monitor and is used for obstacle avoidance. To support our Mechanical Design Office within the Mechanical Engineering Department we are looking for a Lead Engineer Your tasks Develop design concepts for ambitious lightweight structures and optomechanical assemblies for use in space environment Take part in the flowdown of technical requirements and budgets from higherlevel specifications to mechanical subsystems Establish and control the mechanical design process within the project team, including preparation of the relevant design, manufacturing and verification documents Define and specify interfaces, generate interface control documents Carry out design tradeoffs in cooperation with Systems Engineering and other technical disciplines Optical, Structural, Thermal and Electrical Engineering Continuously monitor compliance to technical requirements, budgets and specifications throughout the development process Prepare, issue and maintain requirement specifications for mechanical assemblies and subsystems Evaluate subcontractor proposals Identify, select and monitor external subcontractors Plan and implement design reviews Report to the client and to the project team Your role Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering with focus on Mechanical Engineering and Design Profound knowledge of design methodology and 3D CADDesign Several years of experience in the development and design of lightweight structures or mechanical assemblies for space applications Experience in the application of relevant design and quality guidelines ECSSE and Q Standards Fluent in English reading and writing Strong sense of responsibility Organised, structured and targetoriented task approach Ability and ambition to accomplish agreed goals Team player with excellent communication skills
