A vacancy for a Configuration and Data Management Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Portsmouth. An experienced CADM Manager in Secure Communications SC UK responsible for the management of the Configuration and Data Management CADM processes. With a primary CADM focus on SC UK business. This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Providing a service that maintains our projects and products integrity throughout their life cycle, by advocating, directing and coaching recognised best practice in Configuration Management in line with established company processes. Acting as the professional supplier of requisite information to external customers and for internal customers, whether they be ProductProject or Functional team, a reliable supplier providing guidance, advice and a professional service. To identify and document the functional and physical characteristics of products, control changes to those characteristics, to record and report change processing and implementation status and to verify compliance with business requirements and other applicable documents To ensure all parties involved in the project, at any given time during the lifecycle, to use identical data, in the same controlled status. To ensure that project build standards meet stakeholder requirements. Manage the CADM team to ensure exploitation of the CADM tools functionality by optimising their configuration it to meet the business needs of Secure Comms UK. The key Secure Comms CADM interface for the evaluation, implementation and rollout of the WindChill configuration tool Coordinate and manage CADM workload and priorities to ensure on time and on quality delivery The CADM lead for Exit Transition of MOD Contract We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Knowledge, experience and track record of utilising Product Data Management PDM DMS databases specifically WindChill Previous people management experience essential Very good oral and written communication skills. A requirement for a Project Manager to support the delivery of Earth Observation projects has arisen within Airbus Defence Spaces Intelligence Group. The role of the Project Manager is to ensure that their projects are delivered on time, within budget to agreed scope and to customer satisfaction. The Project Manager will manage project stakeholder relationships as well as customer expectation and requirements. The Project Manager will ensure the efforts of project resources are directed and coordinated to achieve the project milestones Ensure effective integration of lessons learnt, active risk, opportunity and contract internal or external management and effective management of partners and suppliers. The Project Manager will also be required to support in the management and creation of bid responses. The role will be based in Guildford and will require some UK and International travel. Ensure appropriate project management processes and quality gates are followed. Support continual improvement of project management process. Plan and schedule of project work. Establish resource requirements to meet agreed deadlines and work with the resource manager to secure resource allocation to achieve project milestones and ensure resource forecast requirements are kept up to date. Communicate expectations to the project team. Coordinate internal resources and third partiesvendors to ensure smooth execution of projects. Track and report project progress and performance against baseline in an accurate and timely manner. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques. Perform risk management to minimize project risks. Report and escalate project risks and issues which require support outside of the project team to management or appropriate stakeholders. Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders Sales, Product OwnersManagers, Marketing, Finance etc. Establish and maintain relationships with third partiesvendors TechnicalJobrelated essential skills Proven experience of Project Management for specific Earth Observationthemed projects, including contract management. A good technical understanding of Satellite data optical and radar data is required. Good stakeholder management subcontract management with the ability to present project results to key stakeholders. Other skills Problem solving the project manager must take ownership of issues, discussion of solutions and responsibility for driving to successful completion Organisation the project manager must be organised with ability to plan, prepare and prioritise Efficient handle tasks and assignments in a timely manner. Communication communicate clearly and effectively at all levels with both written verbal communication. Decisive.
