Parks Associates has released research showing that more than 50% of U.S. OTT subscription households subscribe to multiple OTT video services. Of these multi-OTT households, 81% use Netflix plus some other service or combination of services, typically Amazon or Hulu.

In France in 2017, 1 in 5 internet users aged 6 years and over used an SVOD service, compared to 15% in 2016, an increase of 40%. They were a little more than 1 in 10 in 2015. This growth is essentially driven by Netflix, which is ahead of two major French players: CanalPlayand SFR Play.
