8.2% growth in Smart Speaker sales in Q1 2020 despite COVID-19

Global sales of smart speakers in Q1 2020 reached 28.2 million units, an increase of 8.2% on Q1 2019, according to Strategy Analytics. Amazon remained the leading brand with a share of 23.5%, up from 21.5% in the same period a year ago.

Deutsche Telekom maintains FY growth outlook as Q1 sales grow 2%

(Telecompaper) Deutsche Telekom said it had a strong start to 2020. Revenue increased 2.3 percent year-on-year to EUR 19.9 billion in the first quarter, and adjusted EBITDA after leasing rose 10.2 percent to EUR 6.5 billion. The German company said it sees the Covid-19 pandemic having only a limited impact on results and maintained its guidance for further growth in the full year.

The Position The position is for a senior sales manager, responsible identifying new opportunities within the classical European space market for our existing products and services. In this context classical shall be understood to be institutions, agencies and commercial organizations with well established business models such as EUTELSAT, SES, InmarSat, OHB, Airbus and Thales. You will work in close coordination with our delivery teams, to formulate the direction that each domain should take. You will act as the bridge between the current capabilities and the opportunities, investigating and communicating the markets needs to the technical teams. Together you will formulate strategies and plans, and take the developed solutions to market with them. You know that delivery and sales must work closely together, because selling is a team effort and what has been sold also has to be delivered! You understand how delivery and sales think and can bridge the two views of the world. You facilitate that the delivery teams bring their capabilities to the market.
