Clean Technica: New data suggest that China, the worlds #1 CO2 emitter, has succeeded in decoupling coal use from economic output since its coal consumption growth began slowing down in 2012. Japanese trading house Marubeni Corp said Tuesday it has signed a deal with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand to build a 600-megawatt coal-fired power generator to replace a dirty power plant at the heart of a recently ended court case in Lampang province.
