Terma Space operates out of Denmark, The Netherlands, Germany, and the UK. Job description JUICE JUpiter ICy moons Explorer is the first largeclass mission in ESAs Cosmic Vision 20152025 programme. Planned for launch in 2022 and arrival at Jupiter in 2030, it will spend at least three years making detailed observations of the giant gaseous planet Jupiter and three of its largest moons, Ganymede, Callisto and Europa. In the frame of the JUICE Space project, Terma AS is pleased to invite you to submit your application as Project Scheduling and Control Support Manager. This is a full time position, located at our customer site in Toulouse, France. The position is based on a permanent contract with start date ASAP. Responsibilities As a Project Scheduling and Control Support Manager will be responsible to perform the following tasks as minimum Update the Schedule Database Architecture schedule tree Decompose work package into schedule activities and milestones already done except for new work packages e.g. units development not yet started Identify the logical relationships among schedule activities already done except for new activities Estimate the number of work period to complete individual schedule activities already done except for new activities e.g. units development not yet started Develop the schedule already done except for new activities e.g. units development not yet started Enter project activities and milestones with attributes durations, relationships, leads, lags, constraints, calendars, floats Organise project activities and milestones according to the schedule tree Update current layouts and filters required to organize and communicate the schedule Run the tool calculations Analyse the schedule activity sequence, durations, constraints Conduct Critical Path Analysis, schedule compression, simulations, whatif scenario analysis, leads and lags adjusting Control the schedule Collect schedule progress information from the Airbus Defence and Space Development Manager Update the Current Schedule with agreed changes Run the tool calculations and conduct the critical path analysis Perform the schedule variance analysis, edit the schedule comparison bar chart Prepare and issue Schedule reports or quick look reports bar charts, progress, assessment, comments Provide master bar chart and trend charts for the internal monthly progress report Save and archive the approved schedule as the Original Baseline Schedule and then as the Current Baseline Schedule up to the end of the project Send electronically to Prime the updated data source Overall update and schedule report shall be provided every 6 weeks every progress meetings between Airbus Defence and Space and ESA. The schedule report contains the Current Working Schedule information Master Bart charts for the entire project and for each major constituents to give an overview of the current schedule situation Detailed Bar charts showing the current schedule situation relative to the current contract baseline. The Bar Charts shall show, per activity, activity identifier, description, the duration, the remaining duration, the float and the current dates compared to the Current Baseline Schedule Milestones Trend Chart report covering all contractual milestones, to show the trend of the milestone dates Schedule trend analysis Critical path analysis Qualifications Competencies We are searching for an experienced Project Scheduling and Control Manager with background in the space environment ideally in interplanetary missions. Mandatory skills Minimum 3 years in terms of experience in planning and scheduling control QualificationsCertifications in Project Schedule Management, planning Software and Server based applications, such as Microsoft Enterprise Project Management EPM, Primavera P6 Expertise with complex schedule tree setting up and control, such as Microsoft Enterprise Project Management EPM Advanced level in English speaking, reading and writing French highly appreciated, German speaking skills a plus. Career starters Master or Advanced Master Aerospace Project Management or similar might be taken into consideration if they have a strong record and reputation gained by their experiences made in the space industry in internships or short space missions, most notably at Airbus DS space projects in Toulouse. Your Tasks The Consultant shall support software development and maintenance of MC components and applications designed with an objectedoriented approach and client server architecture. The development cycle includes the typical phases requirements, design, development, testing with formal procedures related to configuration control, verification against the software requirements and rollout into operations. Development ranges in a mixed Windows and Unix environment, from fixing problems and engineering changes, technical support to the continuous operation of the system, including analysis, investigation and resolution with creation of appropriate documentation. Your Profile In addition to having a University degree in a relevant engineering discipline, the consultant shall demonstrate significant knowledge and experience in the area of software development. The consultant shall have skills and experience in software development with the following mandatory areas Domain Skills Extensive experience minimum 5 years in the definition, development and maintenance of Mission Control Functions software applications for GEO space missions, in particular, experience in the whole life cycle of development of typical applications like telemetry and telecommand chains, automation schedule and procedure execution, operations preparation, analysis, etc. Good knowledge and understanding with working experience evidence of space related standards ECSS and CCSDS related to spacetoground interfaces. System Development Maintenance Skills Extensive experience minimum 5 years in software development and maintenance following formal software life cycle processes resulting in multiple customer deliveries. This includes production of requirements, design engineering artefacts and implementation reflecting corrective and evolution software maintenance activities as well as new applications definition Extensive experience minimum 5 years in ground segment AIV related activities test procedure generation, nonregression testing, requirements verification and validation. Software Engineering skills Extensive experience minimum 5 years in designing and developing software components and applications using Object Oriented OO approach including design patterns Extensive experience minimum 5 years designing, developing and programming software applications using C and Java under both Windows and Linux platforms Experience with formal software development environments like Eclipse IDE and Microsoft Visual Studio.
