Requirements You should have a university degree at least Masters degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant physical science or engineering subject. You will be able to demonstrate experience in performance assessment of optical instrumentation for atmospheric observation including image processing. You will also have experience working with Earth limb observation systems as well as knowledge of aerosols and ozone observational data are assets. You shall demonstrate proficiency with programming languages relevant to the implementation and maintenance of the system performance models e.g. MATLAB and python. You shall possess solid analytical skills together with broad, systemoriented thinking, and the ability and motivation to rapidly learn and switch within a wide range of application domains. You shall have the capability to critically analyse the work performed by industry in the relevant areas, identify problems and propose corrective actions. Requirements You will have a University Master degree in Physics or Engineering or an equivalent qualification. A Master degree in Computer Science could be accepted if relevant experience with Earth Observation algorithms is demonstrated. You will be able to demonstrate A firsthand experience and proficiency in the development of numerical modelling software preferably using compiled languages CCJava, development environments and using the Unix operating system. Familiarity with highperformance computing environment such as GPU and cloud processing Good familiarity with computer programs such as Matlab, Python or IDL. Knowledge of specific tools such as image analysis tools is considered a plus. Background knowledge of the problematics involved in Earth Observation modelling. A system viewpoint with the ability and willingness to assess the impact that each element brings to the overall mission performance.
