We are looking for an EndtoEnd Mission Performance Engineer You will be based on our clients site at the European Space Agencys ESTEC location in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. In this large European agency you will find an excellent and modern working environment with challenging tasks and responsibilities with the opportunity to gain exposure to various projects and missions at the heart of European space research and development. Responsibilities and role Assessment of the delivered scientific processing algorithm in Python. Assessment of the delivered Instrument Quality Tool IQT v2alpha and its ability to process real instrument data PFM Focal Plane SubSystem data , S4 enhanced EM data, . Assessment of the delivered Level1 Reference Processor and perform a comparison of the results with the IQT. Development, implementation and validation of complex key data generation tools for the instrument calibration and performance verification tasks, as defined in the S4 onground calibration plan and in the L1b processing specification Support to the closedloop testing between the S4UVN measurement data, the IQT v2 and the calibration keydata to demonstrate adequacy, completeness and accuracy of the level0 to level1b data processing algorithms and the calibration keydata. Contribute to meetings within ESA, industry and EUMETSAT. Requirements University degree or equivalent qualification in Physics or Engineering with demonstrated background and experience in data processing. Good familiarity with computer programslanguages such as CC, Python and MATLAB and with Unix operating system. Good communication skills. Familiarity with L0 to L1b data processing of optical instrument using CCD technology. The recruitment process will consist of an initial telephone discussion andor a video call followed by presentation of your candidature to ESA. If selected for interview, a face to face onsite technical assessment will be conducted by ESA with the result being either a go or no go. If successful the starting date should be within 2 months of acceptance.

The Position This is an opportunity to take over and drive the development of modern system for satellite mission preparation. The OPEN Preparation Environment OPEN is supporting the preparation of tailoring data for European Ground Systems Common Core EGSCC based systems. Being a software framework, OPEN is meant to be the foundation of larger software products which are provided to end users, such as AIT engineers or operators. The OPEN framework was born from an ESA initiative to streamline and harmonise EGSCC based preparation environments for spacecraft and ground stations operations teams to manage tailoring data required to operate the data systems. OPEN can however do much further and answer needs for all EGSCCbased system users.
