DUTIES The Independent Safety Office is the safety review and certification authority for International Space Station ISS payloads and systems and is also responsible for nuclear and reentry safety space debris mitigation regulations and compliance planetary protection regulations and compliance. QUALIFICATIONS Applicants for this post should have a Masters degree or equivalent qualification in engineering. Solid experience in the space field, including a background in spacecraft system engineering and human spaceflight safety is required. Candidates should have good interpersonal and communication skills. They should be able to work effectively, autonomously and cooperatively in a diverse international team environment, defining and implementing solutions in line with team and individual objectives, as well as project deadlines. Applicants should also have good analytical, organisational and reporting skills, a proactive attitude to problemsolving and an interest in innovative technologies.
