Job Description We are looking for a Galileo GMS IVQ Engineer on behalf of the European Space Agency ESA for their location in Noordwijk, The Netherlands, to support their GALILEO Ground Mission Segment GMS team working on GALILEO Ground Segment processing facilities. Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe and not by ESA. The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to Tasks and Responsibilities Evaluate the GMS design and evolution, with a specific focus on GMS Algorithms and performances incl. Requirements University degree MSc minimum in telecommunications and signal processing, electronic engineering, computer science or other scientific disciplines, as well as minimum 4 years of experience in these fields Experience in the management and monitoring of industrial activities, including participation in reviews Experience with the GNSS and GALILEO systems and equipment Specific knowledge in the design and testing of Ground Segment algorithms related to the generation and monitoring of the navigation products i.e. Ephemeris, Clock, Group Delay, Code Phase Biases... Specific knowledge on algorithms for clock ensembles, realtime clock anomaly detection and automatic fault compensation is considered an asset Good knowledge of Radio Navigation processing, simulation and testing systems Knowledge on Resource Abstraction layers e.g. hyper convergence, virtualisation, containerisation and data centric processing Knowledge of Agile software engineering techniques, in particular SAFe methodology, is an asset Candidates must be eligible for security clearance from their national security administration For candidates with less than 10 years experience, please provide the relevant academic transcripts in order to give the Client a more complete candidate profile at the selection stage. The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to Tasks and Responsibilities Management of the Deployment Subcontractor on a technical schedule basis. Contractual aspects are excluded from the WP Manage the subcontract wrt. to the agreed baseline schedule and the applicable baseline to Subcontractors within TASD responsibility Manage change proposals, change notes and contract amendments on a technical basis according to agreed processes and in coordination with TCBCCB and program management Identify risk wrt. cost, technical constrains and schedule related to subcontracts and to inform the Program Manager accordingly Closely monitor the CFI delivery progress and status Analyse subcontractors progress reports Submit on regular basis, in line with the agreed internal and external reporting, the subcontractors progress reports as part of the overall GMS progress reporting, including supporting indicators and synthesises Organise and conduct lower level reviews to assess the status and, as necessary, in support of any Customer reviews Manage the deployment engineering tasks at GMS TASD level, including Cabling list preparation for delivery to customer sites Organise, prepare and conduct PreShipment Reviews for deliveries under TASD responsibility.
