Ottawa real estate agent sentenced to five years for knife attack on wife, daughter

An Ottawa real estate agent who attacked his daughter and wife with a butcher knife was sentenced Friday to five years in prison. Labib Khawas, 56, will serve another three-and-a-half years in prison after Ontario Court Justice Ann Alder gave him credit for time served in pre-sentence custody.
