REALTOR Productivity Study Shows More Agents Doing Transactions Than Expected

A new study shows REALTORS are largely optimistic about their local markets, still struggle with low inventory challenges, and 60 percent of them are doing 100 percent of the business. According to a new REALTOR Productivity Study of Multiple Listing Service activity released by leading consulting firm WAV Group and sponsored by Realtors Property Resource , 29 percent of Realtors say they are "very optimistic" about their local markets and 71 percent say they are "cautiously optimistic"; none say they are "not at all optimistic" about their local markets.

The Wireless Broadband Alliance , the industry association focused on driving the next generation Wi-Fi experience, today published a report on the Wi-Fi hotspot market compiled by global research company Maravedis-Rethink . The annual survey revealed that 70% of respondents said a key motivation for deploying carrier-grade Wi-Fi in their systems would be to improve customer experience and therefore increase subscriber retention.

An experimental Ebola virus vaccine tested at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda shows promising results, and has medical researchers planning to accelerate the pace of human trials. The vaccine to prevent Ebola virus disease produced antibodies in all 20 healthy adults who received it in a clinical trial.

Federal Trade Commission Shows Willingness to Credit Responsive Data...

In a change of pace, the Federal Trade Commission recently decided not to pursue an enforcement action against Verizon Communication, Inc. following an investigation into whether Verizon violated Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act, by engaging in "unfair or deceptive acts or practices" when it failed to secure the routers used to provide High Speed Internet and FIOS Internet services to its customers in "a reasonable and appropriate manner." The FTC determined that Verizon provided routers to its customers with the outdated Wired Equivalency Privacy encryption standard.
