US imports of cotton apparel have declined in the first quarter after rising for three consecutive quarters, whereas imports of man-made fiber apparel have continued increasing, although at a lower pace than in the last two years, as reflected by our detailed analysis of US apparel imports for every category of products. France Considering Ban on Fracked Gas Imports as US Ramps Up LNG Exports to Europe

EcoWatch: France is investigating a ban on the import of shale natural gas from the U.S. Shale gas is extracted using hydraulic fracturing, a technique banned in France since 2011. The issue arose due to contracts signed by French utilities Engie and EDF with Houston-based Cheniere Energy, which led to the import of LNG containing about 40 percent shale gas. The potential ban comes as America is ramping up its LNG exports to Europe.
