US imports of cotton apparel have continued declining in the second quarter of 2016 whereas shipments of man-made fiber products were again rising. Results have been however different depending on categories, with the shift out of cotton being much slower for certain products, like trousers, as reflected by our detailed analysis of US apparel imports per category. Our series of statistical tables offer a comprehensive view of volume, value and unit value changes, compared with previous quarters and years in 2010-15.
