Summary An opportunity for an experienced engineer to work onsite at ESTEC for Telespazio VEGA UK, providing support to the RF System Division Laboratory. Objective To provide support to the RF Division with the expertise to perform test campaigns of GNSS or Telecom Receivers. Responsibilities Duties Depending on the profile of the candidate, duties will include but are not limited to Support to RF System division laboratory. Preparing set up for measurements of RF equipment e.g. Telecom and GNSS receivers, SDR etc. Utilising laboratory instrument and equipment to perform test campaign of GNSS or Telecom Receivers Create a laboratory set up to test vulnerability of RF equipment Support design, implementation, maintenance and operation of Radio Navigation equipment, complex Radio Navigation simulation tools and test facilities for testing features endtoend performances, receivers, etc.. Qualifications Experience Masters degree or equivalent in relevant field 10 years experience preferably industrial covering topics above Essential Skills Background and experience in GNSS, in particular GNSS receivers, signal processing and navigation systems technologies and equipment. Familiarity with RF equipment and instrumentation. Qualities Fluent in written and spoken English Good interpersonal and communication skills Proactive and flexible attitude to working Excellent analytical skills Ability to work effectively both within a small team and in an autonomous way.

Client and Location For one of our customers we are currently recruiting a RadioNavigation Engineer for GNSS Receivers Verification for their location in Taufkirchen, Germany. As part of the GNSS Applications Team the jobholder contributes to the development and verification of future Galileo locationbased services. In that role the jobholder will be involved in various activities e.g. define, implement and test navigation algorithms, products and features. With more than 60 engineers and almost 20 years of experience, the Airbus Navigation Department is one of the leading expert groups in Europe for the development and implementation of the European satellite navigation systems EGNOS and Galileo. Tasks and Responsibilities Coordinate the team for Galileo NonPRS user segment support activities Create and maintain the Galileo NonPRS user segment support work plan and provide progress reports, system engineering documents and technical reports Define, plan and conduct test campaigns laboratory and outdoor for commercial receivers and other navigation devices e.g. device for emergency call in the massmarket domain Evaluate test campaign results, provide feedback to manufacturers and to the user communities e.g. road, rail, maritime, agriculture, etc. Establish performance benchmarks for typical receiver figures of merit and GNSS systems GALILEO, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, QZSS Understand the progress in the usage of GNSS signals with focus on GALILEO services for massmarket receivers Present the achieved results in front of international customers and industrial partners at technical meetings, symposia and conferences.
