For our activities in GSA, we are currently looking for a Senior Quality Management Specialist. Tasks and Responsibilities The general tasks under the contract consist of the maintenance and continuous improvement of quality management activities at GSA, including the ongoing maintenance of the ISO 9001 certification and the preparation and maintenance of other certifications that form part of the Integrated Management System. They shall be performed under the direct supervision of the GSA Quality Manager and involve close interaction with the GSA Quality Officers. The working language shall be English. The tasks consist mainly of 1 Preparing, implement and followup of internal audits. 2 Supporting inhouse training activities on quality management. 3 Maintaining the Quality Management System QMS documentation. 4 Reviewing other documents produced by GSA from a quality management perspective. 5 Supporting the development of procedures and work instructions. 6 Maintaining the processes related to Anomaly Reporting. 7 Recording and synthesising customer feedback and data on corrective and preventive actions. 8 Collating and analyse qualityrelated indicator reports. 9 Collecting other relevant data to allow for evaluation of the effectiveness of the QMS. 10 Assisting in the maintenance of Risk Management activities. 11 Assisting in the establishment of an Integrated Management System including Information Security and Safety Management. 12 Gap analysis and action plan proposals. 13 Implementation other actions required to maintain quality certification to the IS0 9001 standard. Requirements General experience in quality management of a minimum of 5 years. Proven experience in ISO 9001 related quality management in the last 4 years. Quality management experience provided shall include conceivable ability to synthesize relevant information in support of decision making processes, andor quality assurance experience in drafting reports and management recommendations. Proven quality audit experience internal audits, customer audits gained in the last 4 years of a minimum of 2 projects. The experience may have been gained in the projects informed about under the previous bullet or other projects. Proven experience in the implementation of Integrated Management Systems including the application of ISO 27001 standards. Proven experience in the application of quality management standards in the aerospace sector. Proven technical understanding of GNSS systems. Proven capacity to work and communicate efficiently in English written and oral at least C1 according to Europass CV Classifications. Currently valid Personal Security Clearance PSC at EU RESTRICTED would be an advantage. Junior and Senior Ground Segment System Engineer Telespazio VEGA Deutschland has been supporting the European Space Industry for over 30 years, including ESA, DLR, EUMETSAT and CNES. This is an opportunity for a motivated and experienced engineer to work for our EUMETSAT customer within a new and interesting space mission. Sentinel3 is a Low Earth Orbiting mission in the context of the Copernicus Services set up by the European Commission. The first satellite, Sentinel3A, is expected to launch mid2015 with the second satellite Sentinel3B operating in tandem and due for launch 18 months later. EUMETSATs monitors and controls Sentinel 3 satellites and generates near realtime and offline products to support the marine user community. Telespazio VEGA offers a permanent position based in EUMETSAT, Darmstadt, Germany with an expected starting date in April 2015. Application closing deadline is February 12th, 2015. RESPONSIBILITIESDUTIES The Ground Segment System Engineers shall support the Sentinel3 Operations with respect to EUMETSATs S3 Ground Segment maintenance and necessary evolutions, including the necessary coordination with the other S3 Ground Segments and Core Ground Stations at architectural and system engineering level and also for the related interfaces between those ground segment and within the EUMETSATs Sentinel3 ground segmentincluding the EUMETSAT MultiMission Elements. In addition, the Ground Segment Engineers shall provide support to the AIV activities during the integration of the S3 ground Segment and shall coordinate the verification of the new systems and their interfaces into the EUMETSATs Sentinel3 ground segment. The Engineers duties will include a range of tasks, from preparing and providing the support of the day to day operation and maintenance currently in the preparation phase, the analysis, and ground segment level testing of the facilities which also includes the handling of anomalies, design of upgrades and configuration changes for these facilities at overall ground segment level. The Key Persons will be the focal point when it comes to integrating the individual Facilities into a ground segment system, covering all aspects of system integration and testing, including endtoend testing of the overall EUMETSAT s Sentinel3 ground segment including the EUMETSAT MultiMission Elements. Tasks will also contain the maintenance of an uptodate set of design documents and Interface Control Documents for the operational systems and shall perform technical analysis of system architecture and specification for evolutions or major upgrades of the S3 ground segment. In support to operations, the Engineer may also be required to provide on call support as part of a team of maintenance engineers, especially for the S3 commissioning and initial operations phases. QUALIFICATIONSEXPERIENCE Some years of experience in system engineering for the development or major upgrades including support to operations and maintenance of EO related ground segments or main components of them based on large scale software systems is required Knowledge and experience is required in ECSS, ISO, Software development related Ground System engineering processes and standards Experience of ground segments which are designed and developed taking advantage by the reuse of existing generic infrastructure and functional elements System and Interfaces Engineering AIT experience for the development of major upgradesnew ground systems in a 247 operational environment A relevant engineering degree ESSENTIAL SKILLS Good knowledge of at least 2 of the following and an overview of the others o Networking Communications o Near RealTime Data Processing o Monitoring and control of satellites o Monitoring and control of ground systems Experience in Ground Segment I, VV Definition, management and traceability of requirements structure with the support of dedicated tools e.g. DOORS Very good command of the English language Ability to work in international teams Good communication and mediation skills, proactive and confident personality BENEFITS Competitive salary plus a comprehensive benefits package including 30 days holiday, generous training possibilities and Telespazio VEGA Deutschland pension scheme is offered to the successful candidate.
