Senior Component Engineer Permanent Dutch contract of employment. Salary Industry leading basic salary. The role will be based at our clients site at ESTEC Noordwijk. Specific Tasks Coordinate the activities of the laboratory including the work of the laboratory team members and ensure a high standard of work and outputs. Provide administrative support to lab activities. Provide monthly status reports to the Head of the TECQEC Section. Maintain a database of all laboratories tasks, manpower, equipment, etc. Provide inputs on requirements for investments in laboratory equipment, software and computing provisions. Provide expertise in the field of EEE components, materials and processes investigations. Carry out analyses on EEE components, materials and processes. Followup on the production of Analysis reports by team members and consistency check for adherence to technical procedure. Carry out Failure Analysis tasks and other analysis tasks as required. Prepare reports on the analysis tasks as required. Support and advice concerning the performance of analysis tasks subcontracted to external laboratories. Provide related technical support on EEE components to ESA projects and other DTEC divisions in the area EEE components and failure investigation. Provide technical input to the formulation, review and maintenance of the technical standards and specifications relating to test methods for component qualification and analysis. Support ISO certification activities. Education Experience Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related specialization. 10 years of relevant professional work experience in the field of Passive Components, Discrete Semiconductors for RF and nonRF, Complex Microcircuits for Digital, Analog, Mixed Signal and Microwave, Hybrid Technology, Micropackaging, Optoelectronics and MicroNanoSystems proficiency in at least 4 out of the previous 12 categories is required he role will be based at our clients site at ESTEC Noordwijk. A very good working knowledge of spoken and written English is essential. Recognised Project or Service Management qualification ITIL, Prince 2 or PMI certifications for Project Management or Risk Management would be well considered. At lest 10 years experience in delivering engineering projects ideally in the Space sector or alternatively Aerospace or Defence. Proven success of projects delivered to the European Space Agency would be preferred. Working Knowledge of ESA ECSS an advantage. Minimum 5 years experience in managing teams, working in cross border, multicultural environments. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken any other European language would be considered as an asset. Experienced in Project Budgeting and forecasting. Competencies Leadership skills successfully coordinate staff and resources whilst implementing and maintaining policy.
