Our technical excellence and extensive prime contractorship experience extend across all sectors of the space business launch vehicles, manned space activities, satellite systems and related services. The department provides the AOCSGNC engineering analysis and support to a number of large ESA projects, being conducted at Astrium Ltd., including Solar Orbiter, LISA Pathfinder and ExoMars Rover. An experienced engineer is required to join a team of AOCSGNC analysts to work on current and future space missions. The job is a stimulating blend of design, analysis and algorithm development. The successful candidate will be expected to have some experience in spacecraft AOCS design and have the potential to guide other GNC engineers. As a minimum the role requires a good degree in a numerate discipline and ideally qualifications with space engineering specific or control engineering content. Employment experience within the space industry is essential, in connection with AOCSGNC design and development. Some knowledge of mathematical modelling, computer simulations and software development is required specifically in the MatlabSimulink environment and preferably with additional experience in C.
