Experience in inspection of EEE parts preferably certified by ECSS Organized and structured task approach, high degree of motivation and personal identification with the respective task and project. Strong focus on reaching progress by thinking and communicating in terms of solutions, ability to reach goals also under schedule pressure. Willingness for travel. Excellent communication skills, ability to work in teams, good written and oral English and German.

We are seeking a Fuel Systems Engineer to work within our highly skilled, crossfunctional team to gain and deploy expertise across a range of fluid mechanical tasks. They will be required to support the continuing development of inservice programmes and the certification of new modifications including new fuel types. Our Fuel and Inerting Systems interface with a huge number of other aircraft functions including Wing, Fuselage and Empennage Structures, Electrical Systems, Powerplant, Auxiliary power unit APU, Avionics, Flight Handling and we continuously find innovative ways of improving our systems and products to help our customers achieve future business needs. The role will also require significant collaboration with fuel system equipment and resource suppliers and Airbus teams from Customer Services, Chief Engineering, Programmes, Safety, Airworthiness, Test, RT and Procurement. The objectives for this role include o Acting as a focal point for a particular sub system within Airbus Fuel systems. o Plan and complete fluid system design tasks using a range of analysis tools and methods with good knowledge of fluid mechanic principles o Provide resource estimates and programme plans to support fluid mechanical tasks to completion o Support the development, qualification and maturity testing of new subsystems. Task We are looking for a software engineer to assist our customer in the setup of a Cassandra cluster to store, and allow querying of, timeseries data from the hardware of the ALMA radio telescope in Chile. Readings are stored from 200,000 sensors, at a rate of up to one per second. A test cluster consisting of 6 servers is already in place and our customer needs assistance to improve this cluster, optimise the configuration, understand any issues, and help to draft operational procedures in conjunction with the operations team in Chile. The candidate shold also assist in finding the optimal schema to store the data in a performant, flexible way. A secondary role would be to modify client code for accessing the data. Skills Experience of Cassandra is a must from configuration to schema design. An understanding of lowerlevel issues such as linux and storage configuration is a plus. A logical and thorough way of approaching problems is essential as is the ability to communicate clearly in English. Nicetohave skills include java development, knowledge of Apache Spark Education University degree in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
