In the frame of a new development for the Ariane 5 Upper Stage we are looking for a Project Manager, who will be in charge of the component development and production transition for the next ARTIANE 5 Upper Stage. In this contaxt your responsibilities will include Establishment of proposals according to technical and programmatic specification in cooperation with internal special resources Negotiation of technical, programmatic and financial content with the French customer Monitoring and control of the project to be in line within defined and negotiated schedule, technical performance, cost and quality for the satisfaction of the customer Provision of contractual agreed deliverables and technical solutions towards the customer Management of relationship of project stake holders with customers requirements and expectations Achievement of project milestones technical performance, cost, quality and schedule to satisfy customers needs and in accordance with internal and external rules and standards Supervision and control of a given project team composed of personnel from different departments and functions Matrix Organization for the whole project Safeguarding of an active risk and opportunity management for the project Reporting of the project status towards internal management We are looking for candidates with the following skills Degree in industrial, aerospace or general engineering or equivalent Good knowledge and experience in project management Experience in Ariane 5 business area would be desirable German and English fluent negotiation level, French skills would be appreciated Driving license If you are interested in this position, please apply online via www.jobs.eads.com. We are involved in international unmanned and manned spacecraft programmes and in European international research programmes. Tasks and Responsibilities The Knowledge Management Team at Space Applications Services realises cuttingedge research and commercial solutions development in knowledge representation and natural language processing. Your first task will be to manage the contributions of SpaceApps in an international project aiming at research and development of long term data preservation technology and solutions. In the project you will lead the activities of analysing the needs for preservation of space science data from experiments performed on board the International Space Station, establishing the solution architecture and implementing a technology demonstrator. The results of your work will be used as the foundation of operational long term data preservation solutions for a range of applications. You will be working together with a small, downtoearth team with high standards and competent members, and may be involved, to certain extent, in other projects. The work will be performed at our offices in Zaventem Brussels with some international travel from time to time, for project reviews, installation at the customers site, etc. Qualifications and Experience You must have the following qualification to apply A computer science university degree or equivalent, and have at least 4 years of working experience.
