Summary You are passionate about space flight dynamics and want to become part of the orbit determination team for current and future European scientific missions. You have a master degree in a technical discipline, enjoy scientific computer programming under Linux and are proficient in the FORTRAN andor C language. Then you are the ideal candidate to supplement our astrodynamics team at the European Operations Control Centre. We are looking for a master degree educated space flight dynamics engineer with solid experience in FORTRAN programming under Linux to supplement our astrodynamics team at ESOC. Responsibilities Duties LEOP Launch and Early Orbit Phase support, typically on Linux workstations using FORTRAN Software development for computation of the dynamical behaviour of satellites Participation in studies to evaluate Flight Dynamics aspects Participation in system tests, simulations and operations support Work in international teams. Qualifications Experience Completed university degree in mathematics, physics, engineering or equivalent with high grades A good working knowledge of English. Essential Skills Indepth familiarity with applied mathematics, especially vector algebra, numerical integration techniques and statistics Sound knowledge of physics, especially mechanics High sense of operational responsibility The capability to study independently complex and novel topics and to rapidly prototype SW for study purposes must be proven Software development in FORTRAN 7795 under Linux Problem solving abilities

Flight Dynamics Orbit Determination 1923030 Job Description We are looking for a Flight Dynamics Engineer specializing in Orbit Determination and Prediction Products. You will work in a team primarily responsible for Orbit Determination, Prediction and Products Generation for Science Missions but which may also support activities for additional service, missions and activities within the scope of general Flight Dynamics operations engineering services. The teams main focus will be on the EXOMARS RSP, but may also include MARS Express, GAIA, JUICE, Solar Orbiter, EXOMARS TGO and EUCLID. JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking for an engineer to work in projects related with the Precise Orbit Determination of Earths orbiting satellites using GNSS, DORIS and SLR systems. It will be involved in the design of algorithms, development of SW, validation and experimentation, and the operation of current operational projects in that field. The software development is primarily done with Fortran 9095, CC, different scripting languages TCLTK, Python in Linux environment. Knowledge of Java, Matlab and similar is valuable.
