Galileo Satellite Navigation System and Analysis Engineer

We are currently looking for a Galileo Satellite Navigation System and Analysis Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of a dynamic team, you will have the following responsibilities Contributions to the development, implementation and application of Galileo, as well as future system concepts and algorithms Implementation of system analyses for performance optimization and modelling Extension of system algorithms and their simulation by means of own software Support in the areas Algorithm optimization, modelling of user errors, Precise Positioning PPP, Parameter Estimation, Sensitivity Studies Service Simulation, Extended Integrity concepts ARAIM Detailed analysis and interpretation of the recorded data from GNSS receivers and smartphone tracked GNSS measurement data and comparison with systembased expected values Planning, definition and implementation of measurement campaigns Responsibility for the coordination of the work and coordination with the customer Supervision of the international working group on the Android GNSS raw data use for various applications Preparation of technical documentation. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Min. Master degree or Diploma in at least one of the following domains Mathematics, Physics, Electronics, Aerospace Engineering, Geo Informatics, Astronomy or Telecommunication Engineering Experience in the field of algorithm development, parameter estimation, data analysis mandatory Knowledge of the system structure and algorithms of GNSS on the system side path determination, time synchronization, data transfer, signal propagation or user side positioning, data correction, safety of life, precision point positioning are desirable Knowledge in programming with Android, C, Python, MATLAB, Java as well as Version control are desired Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. Opration 3 2 1 La Direction du Numrique recrute ses futur.e.s ingnieur.e.s Le service Applications, qui recrute, a pour missions de prendre en charge les affaires de support au dveloppement dApplications Spatiales du CNES, pour les sujets relevant principalement des techniques de tlcommunication par satellite. En tant quIngnieur.e Tlcom par Satellite, vous avez en charge les activits techniques de dfinition et de mise en place de dmonstrations. Vous assurez les aspects prospectifs sur les usages de la tlcommunication par satellite satcom. Vous dveloppez des dmonstrations, preuve de concepts et exprimentations techniques partir des capacits fixes et mobiles satellitaires. Vous procdez aux volutions du segment sol permettant au CNES daccder aux capacits qui lui sont ddies, ainsi quaux outils de mtrologie. Vous ralisez un support ventuel ltude et la ralisation des segments sol, des interfaces techniques et oprationnelles entre les segments sol CNES et les extrieurs. Vous effectuez la gestion technique de la soustraitance associe. Vous contribuez galement aux activits gnrales du service dveloppement des activits laboratoire et utilisation des moyens. Profil de candidat recherch Ingnieur.e tlcommunications ou quivalent, vous avez une bonne connaissance des solutions techniques spatiales et terrestres. Vous avez une premire exprience significative et russie dans la mise en uvre de rseaux de Tlcom etou les exprimentations en laboratoire et en conditions oprationnelles. Maintain interfaces with the relevant Prime contractors or subsystem responsibles industryresearch institute for the assigned projects. Support system and subsystem reviews of the assigned projects and ad hoc support. Follow up on technical issues arising on the assigned projects and participate in risk reduction activities. Help defining operations and support the inorbit commissioning phase of the projects. Requirements MSc. in Aerospace Engineering or Computer Science. Expert knowledge of System and more specifically to TTC subsystem with focus on RF, through the complete lifecycle including mission designoperations, systems design AIV, subsystem technologies. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Location The work will be performed at the European Space Technology and Research Centre ESTEC at Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Contract The selected candidate will receive good remuneration in line withESA Job Class. Will be registered for both social security and tax in the Netherlands. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday. OneWeb raises USD 1.25 billion for global satellite network

(Telecompaper) OneWeb has raised another USD 1.25 billion to further its project to create a global satellite internet network. Its largest fundraising round to date brings the total funds raised to USD 3.4 billion. This round was led by SoftBank Group, Grupo Salinas, Qualcomm Technologies and the government of Rwanda.
