Navigation Satellite Payload Engineer mf

Your Tasks To ensure the successful production of current generation navigation spacecraft we are looking for a junior to intermediate Satellite Navigation Payload Engineer. You work closely with spacecraft systems, structural, thermal, and Assembly Integration and Test AIT engineering to ensure satisfactory navigation payload performance during ground testing and inorbit. Support test campaigns by analysing measured payload performance and assessingtroubleshooting anomaliesnonconformances. Analyse any nonconformances for impact and gain approval from customer. Review and assess supplier documentation and participate in review meetings design, qualification, testreadiness, posttest, acceptance, etc. as customer. Assess onorbit performance and anomaly reports. Travel regularly to suppliercustomer sites supporting testing and technical meetings as above. Your Qualifications Degree in ElectricalElectronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Physics, Mathematics, or comparable discipline. Recent graduate to intermediate professional experience, space industry preferred. Selfmanaged and proactive working style. Working level proficiency in written and spoken English. German or other EU language skills advantageous. JOB PURPOSE MANDATE The Satellite Technical Specialist is part of the Space Underwriting Team and is tasked to review and assess all technical matters related to space and to support the underwriting functions of the space underwriting and claims teams in this capacity. The Satellite Technical Specialist will liaise with the companys overseas Space Client Advocate team, report to the Space teams Technical Lead based in Paris and support the Space Teams Claims Manager based in Dubai. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Technical analysis of platform and payload technical specifications for new and renewal incoming insurance placements, with an emphasis on communication and observation payloads, in coordination with the rest of the Space Underwriting Team Development and handling of elseco proprietary space technical database to ensure accuracy and integrity of data Use of elseco database and third party databases eg. SpaceTrak to develop models and statistics on Space risks, including constellations and monitor launch vehicle and spacecraft loss trends Perform analysis and sensitivity testing of loss criteria across all types of space insurance policies Support the Claims Manager in terms of analyzing the technical aspects of failure and impact to the policy, plus perform calculations of all space claims within the parameters of the loss criteria Attend technical briefings and market meetings as and when required, draft technical questions and prepare summaries for the Space Client Advocates Support the ATOM developers and IT teams regarding all technical aspects of Space as related to underwriting, claims and analytics Working with the Space team in London, Paris, Washington and Dubai to strengthen and build robust processes on underwriting and claims areas Promote the elseco brand at all times and cross collaborate across the organization KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Degree educated Aerospacepayload Engineering relevant andor CII Professional examinations achieve 5 to 10 years Space EngineeringInsurance market experience, solid reputation Proficient in the use of Microsoft software applications and demonstrated experience and interest in automated processes and systems.
