For one of our clients we are currently recruiting a Satellite OnBoard Software Engineer for their location in Bremen, Germany. Our client is one of the top players in the European space technology industry, specialized in space systems. Tasks and Responsibilities Develop, SetUp and Validate EnMAP OBDH software and its subsystems System, HK, TMTC, Power, ACS, OCS, Payload for EM flatsat setup and EnMAP FM environment Develop Test Software for automatic, scriptbased test of TMTC ICD Prepare and execute Software Unit Tests, Software Integration Tests, Software Validation Tests Coordinate software design with EnMAP System Engineer and EnMAP Software System Engineer Inputs to STOL procedures for software validation tests, Bus functional and performance tests Create software documentation Software Maintenance Manual, EnMAP Software Detailed Design Document, Test Procedures and reports. Experience and education University degree or equivalent qualification in Space Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline Work experience in embedded software Work experience with microcontroller and low level programming Very good C skills C is a plus Experience with realtime OS Experience with Software validation and verification testing Used to work with measurement equipment oscilloscope, etc. Experience in aerospace or a in an area with similar process model automotive, medical technology, etc. are a plus. EPSSG Satellite System Engineer

An exciting opportunity for a Satellite System Engineer has arisen to join the team in the Low Earth Orbit Division LEO and be involved in supporting the phase B system engineering activities related to the specification, design and development of the satellite system. The support will focus on justification of the system design, establishing and maintaining system budgets. The typical tasks and responsibilities include to define and maintain the system specification tree and baseline, to analyse new versions of lower level technical documents for coherence with system and incorporation into system baseline, to act as book captain for the System Requirements Document SRD, to collate and analyse comments, proposed changes from internal and external reviews and making recommendations on newupdated requirements, to maintain the traceability of system requirements to higher and lower level specifications using DOORs, to provide support to establishment and documentation of an internal change control process for system requirements, to provide support for the preparation and execution of internal and external reviews, to prepare inputs for the Configuration Control Board CCB, to ensure system level technical specifications adhere to the configuration management plan CMP and to document management plans DMP. The successful candidates should have experience of requirements management using formal configuration control proceduresprocesses and of writing technical requirements preferably to ECSS standards along with experience of establishing and maintaining traceability between different levels of technical specifications. Additional assets would be experience in the area of LowEarth Orbiting satellites LEO and with DOORs. Applicants should be prepared to travel within Europe, to the United States and possibly other parts of the world. All candidates must have a University or similar degree in the domain of engineering, science, or equivalent and be fluent in English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of French would be an advantage.
