UK's clothing imports have significantly fallen in January, reflecting a sharp decline in Chinese shipments and a shift to Bangladesh. Imports from the European Union have also experienced significant moves in the Brexit period, depending on origins. Unit prices have fallen from most countries, due to the rise of the Sterling from a year earlier. Our new monthly report covers UK's clothing imports per origin, including knit clothing, woven clothing, and total clothing imports. Data are released in volume, dollars, and pounds, with unit price changes from a year earlier. All data are available for download in three different CSV files.

EU-27 clothing imports from outside the European Union and the U.K. have continued to drop heavily in January, reflecting the fall in Chinese shipments whereas imports from other origins were more stable, by contrast. Our report covers monthly EU clothing import data per origin, with historical trends being analyzed, and a specific focus on China vs. Rest of World (RoW) and Bangladesh, and on knit vs. woven clothing. Data are supplied in euros and US dollars with historical data available for download, back to January 2000.
