000 ABNT20 KNHC 210553 TWOAT TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 200 AM EDT SUN AUG 21 2016 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Fiona, located about 825 miles east-northeast of the Leeward Islands. An area of low pressure, associated with a tropical wave, is located about 1200 miles east of the Lesser Antilles. Satellite images indicate that the circulation of this disturbance is gradually becoming better defined and associated shower activity is beginning to increase near the center. Environmental conditions are forecast to be conducive for development, and a tropical depression could form within the next few days while the system moves westward and then west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph across the tropical Atlantic Ocean, through the eastern Caribbean Sea, and then near the Greater Antilles. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...60 percent An area of low pressure, associated with another tropical wave, has moved off the coast of Senegal in western Africa, and is producing a large area of cloudiness and thunderstorms.
