000 ABNT20 KNHC 050505 TWOAT Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 200 AM EDT Thu Oct 5 2017 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Depression Sixteen, located over the southwestern Caribbean Sea. A sharp surface trough of low pressure interacting with an upper- level low is producing a broad area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms across southern Florida, the northwestern and central Bahamas, central Cuba, and the adjacent Atlantic waters. Upper-level winds are forecast to be unfavorable for tropical cyclone formation while the system moves west-northwestward over the eastern Gulf of Mexico during the next day or two.
