Business Development and Sales Engineer RFSATCOM Dual skill Marketing and Engineering Callisto is an international engineering consultancy and equipment development company in the field of satellite communications. Founded in 1993 with presence in France and Germany, Callisto has undertaken a wide range of engineering consulting projects, building an enviable reputation as a highly skilled partner to satellite operators, integrators and equipment manufacturers. Callisto is part of the Celestia Technologies Group. Based in the South East of Toulouse, Callisto is a small engineering company fostering a positive team spirit, valuing and investing in our employees development. The team is oriented towards a culture of quality and efficiency which is good for our clients and good for our staff. Callisto is seeking to recruit an engineer to take charge of sales of RF products for SATCOMEarth Observation applications. The ideal candidate should be qualified to degree level in a relevant engineering subject and have at least three years experience in the space industry, of which one year in a sales or marketing role. Reporting to the Operations Manager heshe will be responsible for the commercialisation of RF products for ground stations which Callisto has been developing over the past seven years. Working closely with Business Unit Managers, the tasks of the Business Development and Sales Engineer will include Establishing and developing sales contacts including Government Agencies, Research Institutes, commercial industry, satellite operators etc. Development of marketing plans and sales strategies including advertising and publicity. Preparing proposals in response to tenders Meeting potential clients, preparing and giving technocommercial presentations. Responding to sales inquiries and preparing sales quotations. Maintaining sales leads database CRM tool Reporting quarterly sales forecasts and targets monthly visit report. Competitive and market intelligence Analysis of customer requirements and assistance with new product definitions. Following market trends. Productservice cost analysis. Tradeshow representation In addition to the broad qualification requirement given earlier, preference will be given to candidates with the following knowledge and experience Satellite communications Ground station engineering RF engineering Earth Observation Operators and Industry players European space industry Soft skills Web site and professional networks management Publicity advertisement design. Autonomous Rigorous Flexible The position will be based at Callisto offices near Toulouse France. The working languages are French and English. It is a requirement to be fluent in written and spoken English. Salary range 35K to 45K per annum depending on experience. In addition, an incentive bonus will be offered linked to results.
