A vacancy for a Business Systems Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Portsmouth. You will be responsible for the Business System Tools deployed in AIT Assembly, Integration and Test, including the roll out maintenance of IPS production tool and the user support for the connected Business Tools of Catia V6, Windchill and SAP. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Being responsible for managing the IPS deployment schedule Managing the Connect work package, produce monthly EAC and CTC predictions Gaining an expert level understanding of the AIT end to end business process Training coaching AIT teams to secure new tools processes roll out Interpreting user requirements to generate reports required by the business, and to test the reports ensuring the results are accurate Organising regular Lesson Learnt and key stakeholders feedback to constantly up grade tools processes to the need Identifying, maintaining managing risk register related to IPS implementation provide training and demonstrations of business systems to all levels of the business. Managing the escalation of risk appropriately and to the right level of the business Providing IPS management reports for MPR and MBR as required You will support the Head of AIT Improvements to implement the AIT Improvement plan with the following tasks and responsibilities Contributing to the update of the reporting tool Establishing core Lean Visual Management SQCDP and PPS competences and process ownership within AIT Coaching, facilitating and managing SQCDP PPS meetings as required Leading engagement with the improvement process proactively recommending improvements Maintaining visual data in the team areas and participate to any analysis data as required Developing knowledge of Quest and Q6 through personal development training and coaching from business experts Actively participating in benchmarking of other Airbus sites gaining a thorough understand of best practice in the different business areas We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Educated to a degree level in Engineering Solid experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Production Controller or Business Tools Administrator from a manufacturing environment or similar Proven experience and understanding of risk management principles and techniques Demonstrate strong planning and organisational skills Be able to motivate and facilitate learning and change management in others Be a first class communicator, confident and able to communicate at all levels of the business Please apply for this vacancy on line at our careers site www.jobs.airbusgroup.com with your CV attached.
