HE Space is a successful international space company. For over 30 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for a EDRS Operations Engineer to support our customer in Germany. EDRS Operations Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the operations engineering team in the area of procedure definition and supervision of procedure implementation, testing and acceptance with main focus on payload flight operations, you will have the following responsibilities Review of operational products delivered by spacecraft suppliers Specification of payload flight operation procedures based on inputs from spacecraft suppliers Supervision of flight procedure implementation and verification performed by payload control centre team DLR Support to technical procurement of payload operations centre ground support software Support operational readiness review Support to LEOP and IOT activities Support to user commissioning and final acceptance Technical assessment of nonconformances, discrepancies and waivers Coordination with EDRS system engineering Support of the EDRS quality management process Support of the EDRS program management. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University Degree in Aerospace Engineering or similar with knowledge of the aerospace environment Profound knowledge of space system operations Several years of professional experience with communication payloads Experience in modern software tools and techniques including databases, XML, Python, Java or other scripting languages Experience with Unix and Windows based operating systems Experience with ESA and ESA standards Basic knowledge in flight dynamics attitude and orbit is an advantage Language skills English fluent, German language skill are advantageous Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of German language is an advantage. This job is located in Munich.We are looking for candidates who are available from October 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter.
