A vacancy for a Fluid and Thermal Product Development Engineer mf has opened up at Airbus Defence and Space at its Toulouse site. The successful candidate will join the Engineering and Products entity within Mechanical Engineering and will be based at the SaintExupry Institute for Technological Research IRT in Toulouse, assigned to the SoCool project. In this context, you will work mainly on the research and development activities for the IRT project on set 2 Energy transportation. These themes are CapillaryMechanical Hybridisation Modelling transitory hybrid loops MiniMicro multisource capillary pumping systems stability of miniaturised capillary loops. The IRT project manager will steer these activities, in direct coordination with the Thermal engineering departments TSOEM43 and RT TSOEM41 in the Engineering and Products entity. Over time, you may progress to steering the RT thermalthermo fluidic activities within the TSOEM entity. Your main tasks will include Conducting technological development activities associated with the themes Analysing the theoretical plans and modelling the thermo fluidic phenomena. Studying and overcoming technological barriers associated with the developments Designing technology demonstrators Performing experimental studies on thermo fluidic phenomena Focusing the thematic working plan in relation to the Airbus D S objectives, Implementing a technology watch for all the themes addressed within the IRT SoCool project, Summarising the progression of work for the RT and thermal departments operational teams for Airbus Defence and Space Toulouse. As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and competencies Engineering degree or university equivalent 5year degree in the domain of fluid andor thermal mechanics a PhD in thermo fluidics or thermal engineering would be a plus, At least 5 years of experience in fluid mechanics and thermal engineering, Initial experience in project management in particular RT as well as in developing thermal control technology, Experience in the spatial domain is an advantage, Expertise in the behaviour of fluids in microgravity capillary phenomena, Knowledge of modelling thermal and fluid mechanics manual calculations and modelling tools on the market, Taste for developing innovative technologies and designing associated products, Ability to summarise and make decisions and meticulousness, Autonomy, Good interpersonal and communication skills written and oral, Ability to integrate within a team and adapt, An advanced level in English and a negotiation level in French.
