Galileo Systems Operations ICT Engineer 1512093 Job Description We are looking for a Systems Operations Engineer to support our client ESA, based at their ESOC site. You will ensure that the ground ICT infrastructure and in particular the Galileo Data Dissemination Networks GDDN and EDDN is operationally consistent with project requirements to deliver Galileo Navigation Services reliably and sustainably. You will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the ICT operation concept for the Galileo systems contributing to the procurement of the Galileo GDDN and EDDNs, by updating the requirements in response to the Galileo System Level Requirements to the evaluation of the technical offers and potential negotiations ensuring the compliance of the GDDN and EDDN with the project requirements by following the validation and qualification of the services as well as the successful transition to operations of the new communication links, meeting timely availability in line with the project development requirements monitoring the provision of the GDDN and EDDN services as defined by applicable SLAs, following the progress of the implementation of new requirements, monitoring the anomalies resolution, and evaluating the service performance leading the coordination of the validation, operations, maintenance and endtoend communication systems of the Galileo Ground Segments in close coordination with the network equipment providers following up the development of the Ground Segment ICT, providing the required operations inputs for design, deployment and integration up to support to acceptance ensuring followup of any problems in any of the ICT systems in use, detected during infrastructure operation and validation at GCCs, through to disposition and together with the relevant Segments as required resolution contributing to the definition of the data network concept and related Ground operations of the Galileo Second Generation, including Operations Concepts, Operations Requirements and Operational Service documents. providing technical support to the procurement of the Galileo Segments and System within the domain of expertise as required. Required Skills and Experience Significant experience in position for communication engineering, system integration and validation A proven experience in in a commercialindustrial environment is required. Familiar with Spacecraft and Ground Segment subsystem knowledge Fluency in English, both in speech and writing Able to carry on activities and interact in a complex teamwork environment.
