We are currently looking for a Metop Spacecraft Operations Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Metop Spacecraft Operations Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the Spacecraft Operations Team at EUMETSAT, you will have the following responsibilities Satellite Service Module Operations Data Handling, PowerThermal and AOCS Satellite Payload Module Operations Payload Monitor and Control, Instrument OnBoard Data Handling Satellite Instrument Operations OnBoard Software Management Operations Flight Operations Ground Segment Operations. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in science or engineering Operations Engineering for an operational satellite or in an operations preparation Low Earth Orbit LEO, 3Axis Stabilised Spacecraft Platform Bus subsystems such as power, thermal, data handling, onboard monitor and control, AOCS Payload instrument engineering expertise instrument control, onboard processing, thermal, decontamination etc. Development and validation of spacecraft operations procedures Familiarity with some of the following would be an advantage OBSW spacecraft AIT or Commissioning Flight Control Ground Segments Programming language such as C, Visual basic, Software package such as MATLAB, SPICE, IDL, PVWAVE Familiarity with system change control and configuration management procedures Ability to work independently as well as good communication skills Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
