RHEA is currently recruiting a Mission Control Applications Engineer to support the Technical and Scientific Support Department at our clients premises in Darmstadt, Germany. You will be part of a team that is responsible for the maintenance and evolution of all Satellite and Ground Segment Mission and Control MC applications and tools. This includes MC kernel, MC archive, Flight Dynamics, Mission Planning functions and the MCrelated tools. Tasks and Activities Your primary tasks and activities may include Requirements specification, design and development of Mission Control Applications for new Programmes PhaseBCD, including the setting up of the related maintenance arrangements and processes. Participation to the definition and maintenance of the reference architecture for the Mission Control Applications part of the Ground Segment. Support to the requirements engineering processes. Support the generation of the architectural system level design of the Mission Control Applications. Participation in verification readiness reviews and verification testing campaigns Skills and Experience You must possess the following skills and experience A university degree in the relevant engineering field. At least 3 years experience in the definition of system requirements and production of system architectural design artefacts in the domain of the Mission Control Applications of a Ground Segment. requirements and architectural design for the following individual subsystems Satellite Monitoring Control, Mission Planning and Flight Dynamics. At least 3 years of experience in software maintenance and evolution of Satellite Monitoring Control Systems. In particular experience in the telemetry and commanding chains, archive and automation components. Knowledge in standards from the space domain such as ECSS and CCSDS. A minimum of 5 years experience in the full cycle of development of Mission Control Applications following formal software engineering processes. At least 3 years of experience in IVV integration, verification and validation The following skills would be highly desirable. Experience with Mission Control Applications for LEO spacecraft. Experience with Satellite Simulators. IBM DOORS requirement management Tool. Vitech CORE Systems Engineering Tool. Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect Tool. Linux Operating System. Data model design for RDBMS. XML processing schema design, validation, parser libraries, transformation XSLT and XPath. Eclipse Rich Client Platform applications development and maintenance.
