In addition to having a university degree or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline, the Key Person shall have the following mandatory attributes at least seven years work experience in the operation of spacecraft control systems at least five years work experience developing andor maintaining spacecraft mission control systems software at least five years work experience developing andor maintaining software for a UNIX operating system at least two years work experience with the SCOS spacecraft control system at least two years work experience defining and implementing the verification and validation of spacecraft mission control systems software. Experience of the following would be a distinct advantage extensive experience at least three years in the use of databases and SQLrelated querying in relation to spacecraft mission control systems extensive experience at least three years in the definition, development, integration and acceptance testing of spacecraft mission control systems extensive experience at least three years in the operations preparation and routine operations of Geostationary GEO and Low Earth Orbit LEO satellite systems experience of using configuration management systems such as CVS experience of using satellite simulators familiarity with ECSS and CCSDS standards related to spacetoground interfaces and applicable to Satellite Monitoring Control Systems Packet Telemetry and Telecommand standards, PUS Packet Utilisation Standard, etc. familiarity with flight dynamics and mission planning functions and systems as applied to satellite operations familiarity with EPOCH IPS MC product suite from Integral Systems now Kratos Windows operating system Linux operating system leading a small team of engineers. The working language for this position is English and therefore the Key Person must be able to work effectively in this language.
