A vacancy for a Network Operations Manager mf has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Toulouse. You will join the Network Services France department, in the Information Management IM Team. IM is the Information Technology IT business enabler and unique IM Business Partner for Airbus Defence and Space. As a central function, IM is involved in all business processes and enables technical, as well as management careers. IM covers a wide range of stateoftheart technologies and positions ranging from IT infrastructure, application support to governance or strategic consultancy. Network Services provides the network infrastructure for interaction of devices inside Airbus Defence and Space. The main scope of the Department is the provision of network services in France for LAN, WAN, Firewall and IP infrastructure services, in line with the company strategy and the French Regulation. Your main responsibility will be to make sure the network infrastructures are up and running. By driving the subcontractors, you will be responsible for operations followup, for the entryintoservices of new devices, and for the overall availability of the Networking systems. You will also have to identify potential optimisations, in order to improve organisational and financial efficiency. You will work closely with the other team members, subcontractors, projects managers, Service Delivery Managers, business representatives and other IT teams, in France and across Europe. This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognised authorities. Within this context, you will be in charge of the following main activities Maintaining the Network infrastructures o Ensuring the stability and availability of all the Network devices, o Driving subcontractors teams, o Handling major incidents and recurring problems, o Making sure that all the infrastructures are uptodate and under maintenance, o Ensuring the entryintoservice in a safe manner for any new services from Projects team, Following up and Reporting o Making sure the subcontractors respect the contracted SLA, o Building and providing regular reporting to management, Improving o Defining and leading improvement in the daytoday activities, o Identifying cost savings and necessary optimisations, and implementing related actions. This role will involve some travel for business 2 to 3 times a year in Europe, and as such you must be able to travel accordingly. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Engineering degree in Information Technology, 5 years of experience in network engineering, Initial experience in subcontractors andor team management, Indepth knowledge of networking and related security topics, Strong communication and interpersonal skills, Capacity for logical and analytical thought, Engagement, Negotiation level of French, and an advanced level of English.
