Polyester Chain Prices: PX, PTA, MEG and Fiber Prices (Weekly Report)

PTA prices have already bottomed out at the end of last week in China after previously plunging from recent peaks, as a clear sign that polyester chain prices could rapidly stabilize and stay at much higher levels than a few weeks ago. Downstream textile and clothing producers would be forced to accept the recent jump of their material costs. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices.
