PTA and MEG prices have been further depressed in the last week by a new sharp decline of crude oil prices. With new capacities in sight in China and India, any rebound of polyester intermediate prices would be limited in coming months. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain, including Paraxylene (PX), PTA, MEG, polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices.
