Responsibilities Developing, maintaining and validating nominal and contingency Flight Control Procedures automated manual Contributing to the Mission Operations Plan Executing routine and critical realtime operations on console Providing operations expertise at system, subsystem and instrument level Performing health and performance trend analysis at system, subsystem and instrument level Investigating satellite anomalies and participating in the anomaly resolution process Participating in shift and oncall rotations, such that safe and efficient operations are ensured on a 247 basis Interfacing with other Operations teams such as MCS, Mission Planning and FDS Participating in Operations planning and scheduling Developing, validating, maintaining specific operations toolsscripts as required. Essential Skills University degree in a related engineering discipline Several years of Spacecraft Operations experience with demonstrable responsibility for multiple subsystems Comprehensive Spacecraft subsystems knowledge, in particular AOCSGNC or OBDH Experience conducting critical realtime operations as part of a Flight Control Team e.g. during the LEOP environment Experience in the operation or development of satellite ground segment facilities, in particular procedure development, monitor and control, mission planning, onboard software management, configuration management and simulator facilities Experience of Spacecraft Operations on Low Earth Orbit LEO, 3axis stabilised spacecraft with responsibility for one or more platform subsystems or instruments during operational validation, commissioning or routine operations phases Experience in satellite performance monitoring and reporting, includinganomaly analysis and resolution in liaison with satellite industry, procedure change control and configuration management processes Able to conduct stressful operations in a calm, orderly and disciplined manner Desired Skills Experience working as an SOE in a mission involving formationflying or closeproximity operations Familiarity with the spacecraft mission control system SCOS2000 Familiarity with the MOIS operations preparation tools MOIS Automation and manual Software coding experience, in particular VBA for developing adhoc tools in MS Office applications Knowledge of Flight Dynamics and Orbital Mechanics.
