For one of our main customers ESA, we are currently looking for a Technical Business development Officer, who will give support to the TIASRE team in the new ESA research centre in the United Kingdom. This centre is located at the world leading Harwell Oxford in Oxfordshire a focal point and cluster for the UKs rapidly growing hightech space community. The holder of this post will report to the Head of the Awareness Section. Heshe will provide support in the definition of the relevant programmatic and technical tasks as well as in the definition and execution of awareness related activities in the frame of the ARTES 20 programme. Heshe will be in charge of leveraging European userscustomers throughout the fields of Development, Energy, Food and Agriculture, Health, Transport land, sea and air, Security and Environment. Tasks and Responsibilities Investigation and consolidation of usermarket needs and translation into user service requirement documents Preparation of relevant documents e.g. ITTs, calls for ideas, calls for proposals, content for the Online Portal Definition of the application architecture, including interfaces and interoperability between different space and nonspace systems Organisation of user and industry workshops Preparation of TIA project and strategy related presentations, slideshows, videos and brochures Monitoring of scientific and commercial developments in the fields of Development, Energy, Food and Agriculture, Health, Transport land, sea and air, Security and Environment Initiation of activities and studies related to the area of responsibility Implementation and management of feasibility studies Provision of technical support in the areas of responsibility, and coordination of support provided by other ESA Directorates Liaison with user and stakeholder communities in the areas of responsibility. Experience and Education University degree or equivalent qualification in Telecommunications or Remote Sensing Significant and sound experience in the domains covered by this position, with a specific emphasis in the spacebased application domain involving space technologies such as earth observation, satellite communications, satellite navigation and human space flight Sound knowledge in at least one of the space disciplines, with a good understanding of operational aspects of applications and services Knowledge in web design, in the use of graphical software and digital video generation would be an asset. Good analytical, strategic and formulating skills as well as the ability to work within an international environment Systematic work, creativity and an innovative attitude are considered important for the post Candidates should also possess good communication skills, problem solving abilities, and be able to manage relationships, work in a team and be selfmotivating and disciplined.
