Senior Analyst, Business Analysis Luxembourg Betzdorf You are the key business partner for the Sales VPs and Commercial Managers, working with the regional teams and support functions across Video NBU, with the aim to present relevant analysis on revenue performance planning against inyear budget and longer term outlook. The role will coordinate inputs from various stakeholders, will be able to clearly present the analysis and provide decision support information up to senior management. You are required to work autonomously, communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, and analyze and present forecast and planning information, analysis in a nontechnical away aligned to the execution of budgetary commitments and longterm plans and strategy for SES Video. Primary responsibilities Key result areas Build strong working relationships with the key business stakeholders, regional sales management teams and Commercial Management team to provide decision making support to the achievement of regional NBU objectives Deliver, own forecasting and financial results, KPIs metrics, outlook, business analysis and management of presentations to regional sales teams on a timely basis. Lead and present these business results and enablers, so they are easily understood and used to drive key action, behaviour and get well plans in line with business objectives, forewarning of potential commercial risks or upsides in respective sales region on an ongoing basis Collaboration in partnership with regional leadership teams to prepare budgets forecasts, and measure business results in line with the strategic goal and objectives. Participating in planning and establishing revenue targets for budget business plan working with line manager. Work closely and support various stakeholders including FPA, Commercial Management, Asset Management and business applications to provide key commentary and insights including opportunities and risks to monthly, quarterly and annual planning cycles, and presentation material to senior management. Support the Director of Business Analysis with a variety of ad hoc management reporting and analysis projects within newly formed SES organisation, including coordinating and overseeing input, output and outcomes for forecasts, budgets and business plans. Contribute to the development of analytical, financial and other business processes, ensuring we continually streamline and standardise to give high quality analytics and guidance within Business Analysis team. Supports the ongoing development and operations of the business intelligence architecture that enables factbased decision making and insight generation across SES group and within Business Analysis team. Competencies Demonstrate strong partnering, communication and influencing skills. Strong personality, proactive selfstarter with ability to quickly establish credibility with all levels within organisation from all disciplines and hierarchy levels in a global cross matrix environment. Possess superb analytical, problem solving and prioritization skills. Qualifications Experience University degree in finance or economics or equivalent education Minimum of 68 years of professional experience, preferably with 4 or more years in finance related activities Strong analytical and problem solving, business solution skills with proven ability to deal with large volumes of unstructured data from a variety of sources and construct a path to enable key business decisions which includes CRM, pipeline management and business intelligence tools, concepts infrastructure Understanding of the satellite, telecommunications industries Experience in financial planning and analysis teams as well as similar commercial roles, with strong affinity with data analysis tools Excel and Business Intelligence tools, within a large business units of a Global operation Business fluent in English, knowledge of German andor French considered advantageous Whats in it for you? As part of the Configuration Management CM Competence Area CM CA of the Process Assurance and Management Support Division PRS, the DocumentationConfiguration Management Analyst provides Configuration Management support to the various technical and engineering departments of EUMETSAT involved in EUMETSAT programmes and contributions to the EU Copernicus Programme Support configuration management engineers in the implementation of processes and working practices related to the management of documents under configuration control Support configuration management engineers to maintain the as designed configuration status reports of the departments and programmes throughout development and operational activities Perform inspections of documents under configuration control applicable to both programmes under development and operational systems, in line with data recorded in configuration and documentation management tools Regularly generate indicators to assess the performance of the configuration and documentation management processes and working practices. Support the preparation of Anomaly Review Board meetings regularly organised to process anomalies raised on EUMETSAT operational systems SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Proven experience in using PCbased systems, with high proficiency in the MS Office tools package Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience in using documentation management systems Experience with configuration management tools would be an asset High attention to detail and a systematic and orderly approach to managing work Strong service customer focus, team spirit, quality orientation and communication skills Previous experience in an international organisation would be an asset. Candidates must be able to work effectively in English and have some knowledge of French. EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS The initial contract will be of 4 years duration, with subsequent 5year contracts being awarded thereafter, subject to individual performance and organisation requirements. There is no limit to the amount of followup contracts a staff member can receive up to the EUMETSAT retirement age of 63 and there are certainly opportunities to establish a long career perspective at EUMETSAT. This post is graded B4B5 on the EUMETSAT salary scales. The minimum basic salary for this post is EURO 4,428 per month net of internal tax which may be negotiable on the basis of skills and experience. The salary scale provides for increments on the anniversary of taking up employment, and scales are reviewed by the EUMETSAT Council with effect from 1 January each year.
