This is an an ideal position for an experienced Engineer with minimum 3 years experience with Symantec NetBackup or similar, Oracle SAMFS or similar and StorageTek SL8500 series to support development and maintenance of storage and computing systems with special focus on backup, archive and retrieval services for the satellite mission Copernicus Sentinel3. The position is fully based on customer site in EUMETSAT, unlimited and fulltime. Start is foreseen 01st of March 2016. Submission deadline for applicants for this position will be 13.01.2016. This is a permanent position, calling for experience of high availability cluster environments, running Oracle under Solaris and Linux operating systems. You will be placed on assignment based near Frankfurt in Germany for several years. Candidates should ideally be available to start in February 2016.
