Job description The Key person will provide engineering support to the Jason CS Ground Segment Data processing team in the frame of the Jason CS Programme. The Key person will support activities initially related to Phase B, followed by Phases C and D of the Jason CS Programme in the area of data processing engineering. In detail, support will be provided for the following tasks Requirements engineering in DOORS for Jason CS data processing requirements. This includes review, specification and refinement of existing requirements, their uptraces to parent Ground Segment specifications, justifications and verification methods Ensure coherency of requirements with algorithms specifications Definition of ICDs between data processing elements and other GS functions Definition of Testing and Operational scenarios for data processing elements Definition of data processing concepts and tradeoffs to support requirements understanding and justification Support the procurement of data processing elements by advising on technical solutions proposed by the contractor and by reviewing documentation to confirm its compliance with the requirements Support management of the requirements baseline for data processing elements Support refinement of ICD Support testing, integration and acceptance of data processing elements Participation in formal reviews and technical meetings. Requirements In addition to having a University degree or equivalent, including experience in the engineering, physics, or software or similar domains the key person shall have the following mandatory attributes, skills, and experience Relevant experience in preparation of requirements, design, interfaces and testing documentation for data processing systems considering the systems engineering aspects of data processing management and data provision Requirements engineering process, including relation between requirements, ICDs, design and testing documentation Relevant experience in monitoring and implementation of designs against requirement baselines and IVV, testing and formal acceptance The ability to maintain a system overview is essential. This ability must be exercised within a multidisciplinary context in cooperation with other teams, covering several different data processing levels and instruments Ability to learn and develop the needed skills and knowledge to contribute to the development of Jason CS. This includes the ability to rapidly absorb, and make use of, information presented in written and oral communications in a dynamic context Systematic approach to work, be able to plan the work and to cope with tight schedules and multiple tasks Ability to write accurate and consistent technical documentation The working language for the position is English and therefore the person must be able to work effectively in this language.

Job description The Key Person shall provide engineering support to design and system engineeringreengineering activities, fully system lifecycle, in the area of the Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Multi Mission Element framework, named MME MONA, which consists in a portfolio of offline Ground Segment elements, specifically for the Long Trend Analysis, Quality Monitoring and Reporting aimed to support the operational activities of existing and future programmes. The Key Person shall be requested to support the maintenance and evolution of off line Ground Segment elements, specifically for quality control, calibration and validation, data visualisation and auxiliary data management and services. The application software is mainly developed in CC, PERL, IDL and Python. The Key Persons duties will include a range of tasks, from the support of the day to day operation and maintenance, the analysis, design, development and testing of the facilities which also includes the handling of anomalies, upgrades and configuration changes for these facilities. The Key Person will be the focal point when it comes to integrating each individual Facility into a system context, covering all aspects from early SW development, definition of interfaces, system integration and testing, and end to end testing of the production system. Tasks will also contain the settingup and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures as well as the coordination with external providers of maintenance services. Requirements In addition to having a University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, the Key Person shall have the following mandatory attributes, skills and experienced. Relevant experience in preparation of requirements, design, interfaces and testing documentation for data processing systems considering the systems engineering aspects of data processing management and data provision experience of data processing for high data rate missions andor Earth Observation missions is an asset but is not mandatory Experience in SW design, SW development, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of large complex realtime data processing systems for Earth Observation missions Competence in objectoriented software design and implementation possibly in the context of satellite instrument data processing systems Systematic approach to work, including the ability to plan the work and to cope with tight schedules and multiple tasks Ability to write accurate and consistent technical documentation The Key Person should possess very good communication, presentation and team working skills and be able to cope with very high workloads Fluency in English Moreover heshe should possess the following mandatory attitudes and attributes relevant for the development of hisher tasks Ability to learn and develop the needed skills and knowledge to contribute to the development of Data Processing applications within the Supporting Application Engineering Team. This includes the ability to rapidly absorb, and make use of, information presented in written and oral communications in a dynamic context. Willingness to work within a multidisciplinary context in cooperation with other teams. The ability to maintain a system overview is essential. Heshe shall have a systematic approach to work, be able to plan their work and to cope with tight schedules and multiple tasks.
