We provide extensive satellite coverage of all of the worlds seas and ocean regions via our dedicated mobility beams We distribute 7,400 channels to more than 1 billion people in 317 million homes We work together with our partners to develop new standards that transform how people consume and enjoy entertainment Engineer, Spacecraft Subsystem Power Thermal Context The Engineer, Spacecraft Subsystem Power Thermal is responsible for the inorbit operations and performance monitoring of the electrical Power Thermal subsystems of the satellites, as well as the support to spacecraft planning, design and procurement. Position based in Luxembourg Betzdorf Responsibilities Provide electrical Power Thermal expertise to nominal and contingency operations of the satellites Support spacecraft operations and configuration changes, including generating or reviewing Operational Task Orders, configuration validation and direct supervision over critical spacecraft commanding Develop andor validate nominal and contingency procedures and tools Provide oncall support and react to contingencies for the electrical Power Thermal subsystems of the satellites per established escalation procedures Proactively monitor the electrical Power Thermal subsystems to identify degraded performance, anticipate scenarios and take appropriate action. Develop and maintain tools for evaluating and trending health to maximize satellite safety, availability and longevity, including Power Thermal budgets and satellite capacity predicts Provide support to new satellite procurement activities, inorbit testing, and start of service activities Directly interface with internal and external parties in relation to the responsibilities of the subsystems, including Satellite Manufacturers, planning, insurance and other internal or external requestsreporting Contribute to a continuous effort to more effectively and efficiently manage the satellite inorbit operations, including processes, procedures, monitoring, and Ground Control System improvements Experience Qualifications A Masters Degree in Engineering, with a specialization that includes electricalelectronics engineering is mandatory. Additional specialization in thermal control would be considered an advantage At least 2 years of applicable professional experience in satellite engineering andor operations is desired, recent Graduate applicants are welcome and will be considered Have strong analytical and problemsolving skills Ability to acquire detailed technical information within predefined deadlines and apply it in daytoday situations Have strong computer software skills with proficiency in at least one programming language Ability to react to contingencies and cope with high stress situations Fluency in English, with strong communication skills, both written and oral Team spirit and ability to integrate into an international environment A valid drivers license is required for oncall support We offer you A diverse workplace. Senior Engineer, Spacecraft Subsystem Payload Context The incumbent ensures six sigma satellite payload availability by providing highly specialized engineering expertise in payload in all phases of a satellite life cycle from satellite specification to build phase and operations. HeShe is responsible to ensure that satellite health and safety is maintained all along its life cycle. Heshe plans, coordinates and performs required RF transponder testing and preparing and executing the required procedures for payload recovery in case of anomalies. Responsibilities Provide primary support for inorbit fleet payload operations Support satellite operations activity through payload procedure development, training, limitsalerts review and data trending Review and maintain satellite operational documentation for communication subsystem for inorbit fleet Support the anomaly management process through anomaly reviews, corrective action development and payload performance analysis for the inorbit fleet Provide 247on call support during payload system testing and during spacecraft operating life for anomaly resolution Maintain technical interface with Satellite Manufacturer and Spacecraft Operations to ensure proper communications of requirements, performance and anomaly resolution for payload subsystem Participate in design reviews, satellite test activities and review of payload technical documentation in preparation for start of service for new satellites Travel as required Experience Qualifications Masters Degree or equivalent, with a specialization which includes telecommunication RF engineering, ideally in relation to spacecraft disciplines Understanding of payload architecture, design and manufacturing RF equipment, repeater and antenna subsystem Link budget Repeater RF performance measurement Integration and testing Quality control essentials Experience in High Throughput Satellite Engineering is an asset Experience in Radio Network Engineering is an asset Experience in spacecraft payload mission specification is an asset Experience in satellite procurement activities is an asset Ability to work day to day inorbit fleet issues and operations with other members of space operations and space engineering teams Excellent communications skills both written and oral Strong computer software skills required We offer you A diverse workplace. Spacecraft Electrical Power Subsystem Engineer

This position will be responsible for the spacecraft electrical power subsystem EPS analysis and design for ispaces lunar lander. ispace is a leading microrobotics Japanese company with a subsidiary in the United States and another in Europe. ispaces Hakuto rover won the Google XPRIZE mobility milestone award and is a leading contender for the 20M Grand Prize. ispaces lunar lander is its next step towards prospecting for, mining and utilizing lunar resources to expand human presence in space. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge base including an understanding of embedded hardware platforms. The job includes all phases in design, from defining hardware architecture, to implementation and test, to support of spacecraft integration, in collaboration on a daily basis with other team members. Prior experience with high reliability designs is a must. Key Responsibilities Perform electrical power subsystem analysis, including power budgets for all mission phases Define subsystem architecture Specify power supply equipment batteries, solar panels, power conditioning and distribution units Collaborate on equipment selection including trade studies and make or buy decisions for onboard as well as ground support equipment Define and perform verification and validation approach of complete subsystem on testbenches. Support mission analysis and operations activities Support integration, troubleshooting and testing Basic Qualifications Bachelor degree in electrical engineering microwaveRFelectromagnetic related studies, or equivalent Five or more years experience in electrical power subsystem design and development for embedded systems Experience in ground testing activities Experience in integration of electricalelectronic components Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Preferred Experience Masters degree or higher in electrical engineering Ten or more years of experience in electrical power subsystem design, analysis, development and testing for the space industry Experience in selection and procurement of electricalelectronic components Small spacecraft andor lander development, launch vehicle integration and test support Experience in miniaturized electrical power equipment design Experience with electrical ground support equipment
